Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"This is my second time dining in at Kinn and one time ordered pick up. The staff and costumer service is amazing! The food is unlike any other food I have tried in my life, it’s different and sooo amazing! I have never had food this amazing in my life, so many different tastes in the food, I don’t think anything could ever top this place. I enjoyed the chilli jam crispy pork and yum nue I added rice into it, I know probably questionable BUT it was amazing! Like fireworks in my mouth, taste buds sooo happy!!!!"
"Absolutely love the food at Kinn Niyom! Every dish tastes fresh, balanced, and full of authentic Thai flavour. The pad thai and Tom yum ramen are my favourites — perfectly seasoned and beautifully presented. The staff are always friendly, and the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming. Highly recommend for anyone craving real Thai food!"
"I had an amazing dining experience here! The food was absolutely delicious every dish was full of flavour and beautifully presented. From the juicy grilled chicken with its tangy dipping sauce to the classic pad thai packed with prawns, everything was spot on. The desserts were just as impressive, especially the tiramisu with chocolate ice cream and the strawberry toast topped with ice cream and caramel drizzle. The staff were really friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming and relaxed vibe. The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere with stylish decor and a lively yet comfortable setting perfect for both groups and casual dining. Highly recommend this spot if you’re after tasty food, warm service, and a good vibe all around!"
"Kinn Niyom is, without a doubt, a cut above every other Asian restaurant in the Macarthur region. Believe me, I’ve searched high and low at every place between Appin and Ed Square, and nothing comes close. Its fusion of Thai with Australian flourishes is the kind you’ll normally only find in Asian centres like Burwood or Chatswood. This is the sort of Asian food that Asians will flock to. The grilled wagyu beef alone destroys every other steak joint in the area for taste, quality, and value. Seared scallops with ginger and fish sauce? Good lord, what a combination. I will most definitely be back. If anyone reading this review is hoping for that generic sweet and sour pork, honey prawn, beef black bean nonsense you get at the corner store? Sorry mate, go someplace else - you’re living in the wrong century."
"This Thai restaurant is located in a great spot within a shopping center, making it very convenient and easy to find. The front-of-house staff are exceptionally helpful and welcoming. I especially appreciated how kind and attentive they were towards my young child — they truly went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and well taken care of. As for the food, overall the flavors were quite good and generally met my expectations for Thai cuisine. The presentation was appealing and the ingredients tasted fresh. However, I did find that some dishes were a bit too sweet for my personal taste, which slightly affected the balance of flavors in those particular items. Despite this, I had a pleasant dining experience and would consider returning, especially because of the excellent customer service and convenient location."
"Went there on the weekend for a birthday dinner..Food was amazing..Price also reasonable..However, service from wait staff was bit below average..The place wasn't crowded but felt like staff were rushing to get in your order....Also when asked for slices of lime for drinks - we were told tht 4 thin slices of lime which was was supposedly part of the drink will cost extra $1. When you spend $40 on a jug of cocktail and we ordered 2 jugs, the asking for extra $ was not needed."
"Absolutely mouthwatering. We ordered the spicy salmon dish (chilli & lime dressing) and the prawn tom yum hot pot and they were both so flavourful, I'm still drooling thinking about it. There are not many places that can bring out the Thai flavours so beautifully and we've had their Ginger fish dish previously which was also incredible and the reason we actually came back (but unfortunately not on the menu anymore). The spicy salmon was such a beautiful, fresh dish with the perfect dressing sauce that was both spicy and tangy. The tom yum hot pot soup was incredible. It is the best tom yum I've ever had, it's wonderfully sour and addictive. We even mixed the dressing from the spicy salmon with the tom yum and even that was amazing. Hats off to the chef. I've only been here twice and it has officially dethroned my favourite thai restaurant, this is my new favourite. I can't wait to go back here!"
"Went on a Thursday night with my husband, we ordered grilled chicken and the lamb cutlet curry. The food was scrumptious, the staff delightful and the service immaculate. Very accommodating to our baby. Will be going back in future. I hate spending money eating out but for once I enjoyed a meal out and didn't regret the money spent. We also enjoyed 2 mocktails wich were yummy."
